Intermittent Fasting.  Equally part of the program, you accept a scheduled eating window and fasting window each day. They recommend a 16/8 window – 16 hours of fasting and 8 hours of feeding.  This is the reason I was nearly intrigued about this program! I have never been a big breakfast eater and don't fifty-fifty like eating breakfast before mid morning, anyway, then I thought this could be sustainable for me. (Though I've heard from people who ARE big breakfast eaters that your body adjusts to this pretty apace.)

Macro Tracking & Diet.  Instead of counting calories, you merely rails the grams of "macros" you eat each day…that is, grams of fat, protein, and carbs. Your macro goals will be determined by your current weight, goal weight, and action level (your coach helps you go these correct).  Each twenty-four hours, y'all use the app My Fitness Pal to program and rails EVERYTHING yous swallow. The only real restriction is that you are instructed to consume whole foods only – if it came from the footing or had a mother, you can swallow it! You lot're also encouraged to get dairy free and gluten free and avert alcohol (except on "treat 24-hour interval") for your outset half-dozen weeks.

I was very wary of the high price tag ($199!) and the raving reviews from influencers. I got a bit of a "pushy MLM" vibe from many of the influencers and coaches constantly pushing this program, which actually turned me off quite a bit. Only the one affair they all had in common was amazing results. Information technology wasn't until I was able to conversation with my existent life friend Marisa about her bodily feel with the program that I was willing to give information technology a try.

As for my goals coming into this program, my trunk was in major demand of some TLC.  I gave nativity to our third baby this past October, then going into this program I was almost 7 months postpartum and nevertheless exclusively breastfeeding.  I had returned to my pre-pregnancy weight, but that weight was still to a higher place a healthy weight for me.  I want to exist clear that I was not (and am non!)   • When I went through the program, everyone was put in a large Facebook group and a "small-scale accountability group" with your jitney. Nonetheless, those small groups aren't very minor – almost l people each! Also, coaches can have multiple groups going at in one case (my autobus had Viii groups at a time!) so they're not necessarily able to get to know you or form much of a one-on-one relationship with you only due to the sheer number of participants they have under them at ane fourth dimension. They actually marketplace that "community" aspect of the program only that was by far my biggest disappointment.
  • The large Facebook group (with ALL the participants signed upwards for the round – there were 1,800 in mine) was kind of a mess – there weren't enough admins to be on meridian of answering questions and then a lot of misinformation is spread, as well every bit contagious complaining. In that location were a few helpful things shared there just overall it was more than disruptive than helpful.

Our group kind of fizzled out pretty speedily and by the end there was no participation at all. However, a friend of mine who signed up at the same fourth dimension equally me said her small Facebook group was terrific – lots of participation, her jitney shared tons of ideas and back up, etc. Information technology seems like if you don't sign up under a specific coach, y'all're at the mercy of random placement to determine whether you get a cracking or mediocre passenger vehicle.

  • I personally wasn't a fan of the workouts – they were merely gear up lists with brief sit-in videos for each move. Or consider going for a brisk walk." I was doing the workouts in my basement with napping children in the house, then since I don't own a treadmill and couldn't leave the house to go for a walk, this was challenging for me. But they overhauled the program beginning in June and added a lot more workout videos and variety into the program, so it sounds like the workouts take greatly improved. And the friends I was doing the programme with really loved the workouts – so it only depends on your preferences. UPDATE: with the plan updates that rolled out in June 2019, there are at present complete workout videos for each workout day along with live workout videos. I'm bummed I missed out on those but I'grand glad they added them for hereafter customers.
  • Basing everything on the My Fitness Pal app is disruptive, especially at first. I hope they come out with their ain app eventually (and I think they are working on i to be coming out this fall).   • You get to eat SO. MUCH. Food. Honestly, I couldn't believe the amount of food that I *had* to eat to hit my macros! And because y'all're but eating in an 8 60 minutes window, it feels like even more. It took me a while to figure out how to fit it all in without having to eat constantly. Rather than consume a separate breakfast, I swallow a large lunch around noon and a large dinner around 6pm with a few snacks through the afternoon (commonly a protein shake plus one more late afternoon snack). Sometimes I pause my fast earlier if I'm home and feeling extra hungry so I stop upwards with a breakfast lunch and dinner, only that'southward the exception and not the norm for me. You tin decide what works best for you lot! I never felt hungry or deprived (which was a dieting first for me), and I recollect that's ane of the all-time things about this program.

I'm hoping to first adding in some more of those forcefulness grooming workouts to my routine presently! Regardless, I'chiliad really happy with my results and so far. I'm non to my goal all the same, only I'chiliad well on my fashion!

Pounds and inches aside, I just feel…good.  I didn't take any significant health issues before, merely I would have the occasional bloating or indigestion or sometimes a general "blah" feeling after meals. When I'm tight with my nutrition and fasting, though, I feel balanced and energized with no digestion issues whatsoever. It used to be that I striking an free energy-dip in the mid afternoon, too – sometimes enough that I felt similar I couldn't make it through the 24-hour interval without laying downwards on the couch for a quick nap. Surprisingly, I oasis't felt that at ALL since I started FWTFL!  I'm non sure whether it's the intermittent fasting, the diet, or both, merely I'one thousand certainly not complaining.

UPDATE – SEPTEMBER 2019: I've continued with intermittent fasting along with some of the general principals I learned from the program. I often (only non always) do low carb days on Mondays and Tuesdays, and generally swallow a healthier and more than macro-balanced nutrition the remainder of the week. I continued to lose weight and inches through the summer (though at a slower rate) and now take lost a full of 25 pounds since late April! My weight loss has pretty much stopped over the past month merely I'chiliad encouraged to be maintaining a healthy weight without feeling stuck in a strict and limiting nutrition regimen.

FASTer Way to Fat Loss Honest Review: My Recommendations

And then, do I recommend the FASTer Fashion to Fatty Loss? Yes – but with some atmospheric condition. Showtime of all, you have to have the time, energy, and commitment to devote to a few weeks of pretty intensive repast planning, grocery shopping, and meal prep. In one case you get the hang of information technology, the corporeality of time and prep significantly decreases, only in that location is a steep learning bend. The bottom line is, this program works . Not just have I lost a meaning number of pounds and inches, I look and feel meliorate – flow. I learned a lot about nutrition and how to fuel my body with good foods. I've walked away with a lot of great meal ideas and strategies, and plan to continue with the FWTFL program as a lifestyle for the foreseeable future! I do have a few complaints about the system of the program and the manner they run their business, but ultimately, because of my results and the manner I've been able to change my lifestyle long-term, I exercise experience it was worth the $199 investment.
